A Cocktail is an alcohol mixed drink. Commonly Cocktails are made with a combination of one or more spirits mixed with other ingredients such as Tonic water, Fruit juice, Syrup etc.
Origin of the word:
The origin of the word Cocktail comes from the mispronunciation of the French word eggcup coquetier which is pronounced in english as Coctay.
Cockatils are widely enjoyed all over the globe by all kinds of people. They are enjoyed in various flavours various occasions. Currently they are served in almost all of the bars in the world.

History of Cocktail:

The first known guide to making Cocktails was published by a well known American bartendar called Jerry Thomas in 1862. Although the first known Coctail recipe was published in the mid 1800′ the history of Cockatils are filled with many colourful and amusing stories as well as some conspiracy theories. Its now wonder that the consumption of alcoholic drinks have been around for centuries .
While there are documented use of the word ‘Coctail’ in publications from 1798 and 1803, it was on 13th may 1806 the first known documented definition was published in the New work newspaper ‘The balance’ and ‘Columbian Repository’ by editor Harry Crosswell. Crosswell defined it as
” a stimulating liquor composed of any spirits of any kind, sugar, water and bitters.”
Although in reality we may never know the true origin of Coctails . May 13th the day Coctails were first defined is commemorated as “World Coctail day.”
Since Coctail was first discovered now there are many many kinds of Coctail available for people to drink such as Old fashioned, Negroni, Driquiri, Dry Martini, Margarita, Espresso Martini, Whiskey sour, Manhattan etc.And among them one of the most commonly drinked

Ingredients Needed:
SERVING Quantity: 1
1. 1 oz. Pineapple Rum.(This is one of the base spirits. We are choosing the Plantation Stiggin’s fancy Pineapple rum. Because of it’s rich rum taste and a hint of tropical fruits,citrus amd cloves)
2. 1 oz. blended unaged rum.(This is the other base spirit. We are choosing Appenton State’s Cold Jamaican Rum. Because of it’s affordable spirits with a note of spices and vanilla)
3. 1 oz. Pineapple juice.(This adds sweet and fruity Pineapple flavour. We used fresh Pineapple juice. But you can also use canned Pineapple juice. If it’s easier for you than juicing an entire Pineapple.)
4. ¾ oz. Lime juice.(This adds the citrus flavour that balances out the other ingredients. Fresh lime juice is preferred because its easier and it tastes way way better than the bottles lime juice)
5. ¾ oz. Cinnamon syrup.(This is a sweetener made with Cinnamon sticks, white sugar, gum arabic powder, saline solution and water. It can be easily made at home or you can also buy it from outside. We made ours at home using Alex’s sous vide recipe)
6. ½ oz. Banana liqueur.(This a liquor that adds banana flavour. We used drillaud banana liquor to make our drinks for its bright and tangy flavour)
Garnish :
1. Pineapple wedges.(This is one of the garnishes. It adds fresh Pineapple aroma and increases flavour)
2. Edible Orchid

Directions To Make:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a Cocktail shaker. Add 1 ice cube and shake until chilled ,about 30 seconds.
2. Strain through a fine – mesh strainer into a coupe.
3 Garnish with a Pineapple Crescent and an edible orchid.

The Elusive Dreams begin with a aroma of the fruits used to make in our case Banana and Pineapple. It features a great combination of the tastes of Rum, Pineapple and Citrus before
the lingering spice from the Cinnamon and the sweet aftertaste of Banana.

Natolis drink calls for an unexpected favour of rich Banana liquor with a hint of Cinnamon to the modern tiki.

But its a bummer that we will never know the exact creation time pf Cocktails. But all we can do is to enjoy the drink as we can. Cocktails will remain a mystery to us but it’s taste won’t be.
